Foundations of Faith Community Nursing

The American Nurses Association recognizes faith community nursing as a specialty in nursing. Foundations of Faith Community Nursing -- also known as Parish Nursing -- holds the spiritual dimension as central to its practice.
Experience online presentations, small group experiences, community interactive work and play, meditation, and creative workshops.
Offered 100% online, this education course is designed to help the faith community nurse learn to model and promote health and healing.
Dates: January 15 - March 19, 2022: SELECT SATURDAYS ONLY, and self-study. There are self-paced assignments during this time, which students must complete on their own.
Access to a computer and internet connection is required.

Faith Community Nurse Network of the Twin Cities

The Faith Community Nurse Network (FCNN) offers the Foundations Course based on the newest curriculum developed through the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing. This is now owned by the Spiritual Care Association, New York, NY. The course is a pre-requisite for RNs who would like to become Faith Community Nurses.  It incorporates the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Faith Community Nursing.

Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course

A collaboration with Augustana University, Avera and Sanford Health Organizations.

Are you feeling a calling to serve your community of faith, or perhaps your larger community with faith based / evidence based holistic care? In tumultuous times many are feeling that pull to make meaningful change, and this may be the one for you.

The course is based on the Westberg curriculum of Faith Community Nursing.

Dates:  March 4th and 5th and closing April 29th are in person at Augustana University. The remainder will be on-line.
