Empowering Individuals Through Decision-Making Supports & Alternatives to Guardianship

Presented by: Kelly L. McCrea, Esq. KMC Law of MD

We invite you to join us for this webinar and gain valuable insights into the empowering practice of Supportive Decision-Making and its role as an alternative to guardianship.

Supportive decision-making allows individuals to choose and engage with people they trust (e.g., family members, friends, professionals) to help them understand the options available to them and guide them through the decision-making process. This collaborative approach ensures that individuals are at the heart of their decisions, while also providing them with the assistance they need to understand complex information and the implications of their choices.

    This webinar will cover:

    • Informal and Formal Supports
    • Supportive Decision-Making Agreements
    • Integrating Supportive Decision-Making with Other Alternatives to Guardianship

We’ll hear from South Carolina and Oklahoma about their current provider and caregiver curricula, and how CAP-CT may support this work.
