DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this virtual educational event is to provide community-based, hospital, chaplains, ministers and other interested healthcare professionals with skills for a better understanding of the Palliative Care Team role; embracing the human spirit of patients with advanced illness, multiple physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and religious issues.
Attendees at this conference will learn the principles of Palliative Care and Hospice, the state-of-the art of physical, emotional, and spiritual symptom management; effective communication with patients and families at the end of life; and the integration of spiritual care into the Palliative Care practice.
